As “Branded Surveys," as we have named it on the Pollfish, is a remarkable feature that empowers users to create custom survey UI. The process may seem straightforward, but in reality, it involves a complex undertaking in terms of UX.
To access the Creator UI, users simply need to select the Theme Creator icon. Once inside, they are presented with a creation tool comprising three main sections: the survey name, the header UI, and the answer UI.
Additionally, to enhance user experience further, I have implemented a functionality that enables users to save their customized branded surveys in a library. This allows them to conveniently store and organize different UI designs tailored to their specific needs, promoting efficiency and creativity in the survey creation process.
In the header section, the process is relatively straightforward and user-friendly. However, the answer section is where the real challenge lies. Here, I have meticulously examined and accounted for 18 different question types, each requiring its own distinct UI design. Determining what changes are necessary and how to implement them effectively poses a significant design endeavor.
To simplify the process, I have introduced two distinct states for each question type: one for when the answer is empty, and another for when a selection is made. This allows users to better visualize and comprehend how their branded survey will appear to respondents, reducing guesswork and potential errors.
To ensure the flawless operation of the entire process, I develop a fully functional prototype for customized surveys.
In conclusion, "Branded Surveys” on the Pollfish platform offers a powerful and comprehensive solution for users to create captivating and customized survey UIs. Despite the complexity involved in handling various question types and their respective designs, the Creator UI streamlines the process, fostering an intuitive and enjoyable experience for users. By providing the ability to save and reuse survey designs, we empower users to take full control of their survey branding and design needs.
